Egerton Park v Eastbourne
Rink 1. 25-13 was today’s Top Rink, comprising Sandra Stacey, Chris Browning and John Elliot, Congratulations on a great win!
Rink 2. Was a hard-fought encounter, with Mary Elliott, Jim Murphy and Denis Parkinson coming second to some excellent bowling by possibly the strongest team Eastbourne have ever entered 12 – 17.
Rink 3. H. Nutting, J. Stevenson and S. Wright competed brilliantly in this exciting encounter, with the score 16 each on the 16 th end but sadly Eastbourne won with a 1 and 3 on the last two ends. Must learn to go the distance.
Rink 4. Saw Steve Hattersley, Doris Wickenden and Tim Jeffrey have a poor start and were 4-10 down on the 6 th end and sadly, were unable to catch up, losing out eventually 12-20. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
Rink 5. With Babs Frostick, C. Baxter and Ron Ambler, raising their hopes by winning the first two ends, only to be dashed by winning only 4 ends the entire afternoon, this match was one to
forget, when losing out 6-28.
Rink 6. A strong team this on paper but sadly losing out 13-16. Not much to say about this as a match, the score card was decimated with errors, rendering it indecipherable, mathematics not a strong point within this team.
